Workflow issues- endless flow triggers

Thank you in advance for your assistance.

I am brand new to Power Automate I am trying to create flows that update my SharePoint lists. However, the flows are trigger every time I modified or enter information in the list. I set up sending email notification, but I am receiving several emails every time and item is modified, deleted or created.  At the moment it's sending me an email for everything.

I read that creating filters will help but as I mentioned I am new to Power Automate and I do not know how to create filters.

I have some flows that runs every time I make changes or add information into the SharePoint list and the emails, I have set up in the flows are sent every time the flow runs.  I am not sure how to avoid this.

I have another flow that creates duplicates every time someone modifies an item.  I really need some guidance on how to create these flows.

Please help me fix this issue. I am not sure how to proceed. I can share the flows if needed.

Thanks!

What are the exact triggers you are using at the moment (When an existing item is modified, etc.)?

And what are the conditions that need to be met when you want the flow to run?

We can setup trigger conditions so the flow will check to see if certain conditions are met, and if not, then the flow will not run at all. We just need to know what those conditions are.

Are you able to provide some screenshots of what you currently have?

Thank you for your response. I think I made them work. I used list status and made that as condition.

I am using the following and the condition is the list status. The next step is do the action and at the end I have update item to change the status of the list. I think they work for now.

I do have two more questions:

    1. What the right flow is to use when I have an item (text field but it is a number) is more than 1 and I want to create the same # in another list as items and the information for the rest of the columns is copied in all rows. Should I change the column to a number?
    2. How I can lock a row after the information is entered so people do not modify.

    Thank you,
