Excel files flow from sharepoint to local PC without a gateway

Hi All,

I need to build a flow to automatically copy files from sharepoint to local PC. I find the template related to it, but it requires on-promise gateway which is banned by the company. So I am wondering if there is another way to make it happen without any online gateway. Also my final goal is to be able to export excel files to R. There is no a good option to read excel files from sharepoint in r (all my scripts failed to connect between them, and I still try to figure out the reason). I see it (sharepoint - local PC - R) is an alternative way to connect excel files from sharepoint to R automatically. I appreciate it If someone has any idea about how to connect excel files from sharepoint to R ( maybe excel files have to travel somewhere to connect to R).

Thank you

Best, Qianru

    Hi @qsong ,

You couldn't create the file to Local PC if don't create a gaetway.

You could sync the onedrive folder to your local PC, and you could create the file from sharepoint to your onedrive, when the file is created in your onedrive, it would be sync to your local PC.

    Best Regards,

    Alice
