As you can see from my image below, screen cap taken form my phone, the font size of the list items is much different than the size of the selected item. I would like to increase the size of the list items. Can and How do i do that? Thanks - schuess

You should be able to change the Size of the font in Dropdown control by changing the Size property of the dropdown:
Size – The font size of the text that appears on a control.

Would you please take a try and see if it works for you?
Update:
For the auto-generated dropdown box for hte lookup fields, the size property only works with the selected item, I also didn't find the proper way to change the list font size.
