Expenses Report App filters not working

Good evening people!

this is my very first post on this community and before I explain my issue, I will admit that I am very new to powerapps.

i followed Reza Dorrani’s YouTube video of how he expanded on the Expenses app template, which I downloaded and imported as a solution.

during testing, it seemed to work fine but now when creating a new Expense and subsequent line item, the app doesn’t show the open Expense, when tapping the “Open” button filter. Even when tapping the “All” button, it doesn’t show.

if I look at the tables that sit behind the app, I can see my new expense and line item.

what am I doing wrong? It’s driving me crazy!

any help would be massively appreciated!

all the best

matt

    Hi,

Could you provide details about the gallery items property? Maybe it is not connected well with the required dropdowns.

Also if possible, pls share some screen shots.

Thanks for your reply - I’m not at my desk just now but will take screen shots and share them soon.

whats strange is that if I go into the table and delete the offending expense and line item, then re-add as normal via the app, it appears when using the filters.

however, if I don’t submit straight away or at least within a few minutes, the new expense and associated line item disappear from the main screen of the app, yet the open counter still displays “1”.

im not sure what’s causing it because other than changing the approves, cost centers and line item choices, it’s exactly as the original template.

    thanks
