Hello,

i am trying to add a person to a sharepoint group, when this person is added in another sharepoint group.

For example: Person A is added to sharepoint group 1, then i want the flow to run and add the person to the sharepoint group 2.

Can anyone help me out?

    Hi @Alperen,

Just to double check your requirement. Do both groups need to have the same users listed as members? In that case you could compare the two only a daily basis and add the missing users.

If the list of users can be different for each group this would be more challenging. In that case you might need to have a look at the audit logs of Purview, https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/purview/audit-get-started

    and/or Office 365 Management API, https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/office/office-365-management-api/office-365-management-activity-api-schema

    Hi @Expiscornovus

both groups dont have the same listed users. Group A should contain all users from group B, but not the other way around. I wanted to try to get a trigger which instantly starts the flow when a person is added to group B.

    Hi @Alperen,

Sorry, that trigger does not exist for the SharePoint Group type of objects in either the SharePoint REST API or the Graph API.

That's why I suggested the workaround by using the audit log in my previous reply.

If these groups would be two Entra Id security groups you would have more options though (dynamic members, webhooks, etc.).

Any reason why in your design you are using users directly in SharePoint Groups instead of Entra Id security groups in SharePoint Groups?

@Expiscornovus never heard of Entra Id security group. Thats why i tried to use sharepoint groups. I will have a look on your provided links. Thank you!
