People and Groups - action trigger

Hello :)

We have a People and Groups permission set up for a Sharepoint site. We add users manually, and would like this trigger to send specific calendar invites, add to a teams channel and possibly additional actions like send a welcome email.

How do link the trigger to a flow? I can only see links to lists in sharepoint, but People and Groups isn't a list.

Thank you.

When you say, "We have a People and Groups permission set up for a SharePoint site," are you referring to an Entra ID group or a SharePoint permissions group as the answer depends on which you are referring to.
    • If it is an Entra ID group, just use the trigger When a group member is added or removed:
    • You can get the group Id from Home - Microsoft Azure provided you have the necessary permissions.
    • Add this as a trigger condition: @empty(triggerOutputs()?['body/@removed']). When this field is populated, it indicates the person was removed.

If you are referring to a SharePoint permissions group, there is no native support for this in Power Automate. I have not attempted this, but you can try this workaround: Using Power Automate Flow to add users to a SharePoint group | Michael Harley. I don't think is exactly what you want though.

David_MA  Its a SharePoint Permissions Group. I saw that option using the api but wasn't sure I could use it as a trigger - we manually add the users but maybe we should be automating that part too.

Maybe I need to export the list to an excel spreadsheet and the use that as the trigger when new users are added?
