Approval emails not sending or taking a long time to be received

I'm currently working on a workflow with many approvals and recently during testing I noticed that sporadically the email notifications wouldn't be sent (or just take an inordinately long time to be received), blocking the flow from progressing. I'm not sure if they're being throttled due to too many requests from my testing, and it shouldn't be anything in the flow itself because it only happens sometimes even when using the exact same input.

    Alternatively, it was just because the other tester took some time to notice the emails because I forgot to take their name out while doing some parts of the overall flow. Regardless, I appreciate your help!

    Thanks, I actually just got one of the emails in question now after waiting about two hours.

    This could be due to the license limitation causing the throttling 
    You will need to check your flow design
