Hi
I need to create a flow that refresh all the pivot tables in an excel file. I have created an office script with the statement "refreshAllDataConnections" but it does nothing.I have found this link where it indicates that it is not supported
https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/office/dev/scripts/testing/power-automate-troubleshooting#data-refresh-not-supported-in-power-automate
Could someone help me to know if this task is impossible to do from power automate?
Thank you
Hi @egmarcote :I think @Paulburn 's solution in the thread named "Add in Excel Flow the ability to refresh all pivottables and links in an Excel Spreadsheet file" will help you a lot:
Best Regards,

Still not working for me; any help PLEASE?
This is not refreshing my pivot tables. Did you find something that worked?
hi wheatbarley36Currently, although the commands exist in OfficeScript and can be called via PowerAutomate/Flow/Logic Apps etc, they do not in fact do anything...One possible solution could be PowerAutomate for Desktop, where a PC (or potentially a VM in Azure) could open Excel as a Desktop App and do the refreshing. A true step back to the 1990's ....https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/office/dev/scripts/testing/power-automate-troubleshooting?source=recommendations#script-methods-that-do-nothing-when-run-in-power-automate-flows
The following methods do nothing in a script when called through Power Automate. They still return successfully and don't throw any errors.
So frustrating trying to use Power Automate in cloud to scrape and transform data from the web on a scheduled unattended basis. I have a Power Query in Excel that works, but can't find a method of executing from the cloud. So many frustrations and dead ends on the way - like a script record button that only shows in online version of Excel, but is so difficult to search for the reason it was not showing in full client. On and on, and now this latest... actions that can be coded but don't work, and throw no error. Ugh.
Workbook.refreshallpivottables() will only work if you make the pivot table solely in the excel online. Power automate can load the data into different tables without opening and pivots can be refreshed using this script
Power query loading data to data model can’t be refreshed in excel web till now. You can use power BI to refresh the data using scheduled refresh or power automate triggers. Them using power automate can load the data in excel range or tables.
