Not all columns appear in the Output of trigger or Get Item action

We are experiencing an issue where a column in a SharePoint list does not appear in the output of a trigger (when an item is created - sharepoint) or action (get item - sharepoint).

I have tried changing the "Limit Columns by View" to "Use All Columns (do not limit)" but no luck, I even created a view with the 6 columns that I need for the two flows that are impacted. I have also created a "Calculated Column" that formats it, instead of doing it within the Power Automate ie. from "ENG - England" to "ENG" but this is not visible in the Output either.

I have checked and can see when the Items are created the column I am trying to reference is populated, to clarify, I did also add a 5 second delay after the trigger and ran a "Get Item" action to see if there was something else impacting it but no luck on that side either.

Could it be an issue with thresholds as we have about 145 created columns, we are under the 5k limit as we have 1005 items so I do not expect it to be that.

Not sure what else to try, appreciate any assistance.

I would assume this would be due to the thresholds given you have 145 columns. Is there a reason why you have so many columns?

Also, do you know how many of those columns are Lookup, Person and Managed Metadata?

When you use a view to limit the columns, it can still omit certain columns, especially multiple select columns. Do you know if the columns not showing are multiple select columns, or even Single line of text columns?

The current list started as a small list for case management but over time has grown bigger and bigger. Later in the year we will be splitting it out into multiple lists to keep column counts low.

Since posting this, I found that if I re-run a previously failed attempt the column now appears. So I have updated the flow to send a HTTP request to grab the specific column I require - waiting for a new submission to come through to see if that resolves the issue.

Currently we have the below column totals, the column in question is a "Single Line of Text".

    Column TypeTotal
    Single line of text81
    Person or Group5
    Date and Time11
    Multiple lines of text20
    Yes/No18
    Number8
    Hyperlink or Picture1
Calculated (calculation based on other columns)1

Hopefully it's resolved by using the SharePoint HTTP request as you mentioned 🙂

At least you don't have too many fields that affect the overall lookup field threshold (Person, Lookup, etc.).
