Hello,
I have a task that I am attempting to use power automate to accomplish in which I have an access database that holds a lot of financial and timing information that will be the basis for tracking product deliveries by individual engineers in SharePoint via a series of inter related lists. the idea is that the initial kick off of this activity is started by individual project information being exported to an excel file where a series of tables are created with VBA then this information will make initial population of the lists for the individual projects. the issue I am running into is not having all of the dynamic content available to me when it comes time to populate the lists. I have tried utilizing the information directly from the excel file in SharePoint and had someone tell me I should try it from one-drive instead (which is why I have the one-drive create file in the flow). Below is my current flow and I show the lists column types in orange. It seems to have an issue with person, number and currency. Is there a work around to get these to work?
EE Assigned and ME assigned are names taken from our active directory the budget numbers, TTDB numbers and assigned engineers are the ones I am having difficulty with.
Hi @kcasper,
When you create an item in the SharePoint list, the input data type should match the corresponding column type. Such as the Currency field should input value which is number format, Person field should be email format.
And some values from the Excel table will have some changes when it extracts from excel, you should process them individually before appending them.
Could you please share an instance of the item from Excel? (Please shield key information)
