Trouble Changing Data Column Type

Hi,

I am writing a PowerApp for our QC people to report quality issues. I created a "List" in SharePoint to act as the database.  One of the columns was called "Press" and was a text field.  This worked perfectly.  I later decided to change this field to a choice.  When I did, then refreshed the data source in PowerApps, it still though the field was a text field.  I then tried changing the name of the column to "WorkCell" in the hopes that power app would see it as a new column.  When I refreshed the database in PowerApps, it still showed "Press" but is now showed it as a choice instead of a text field. I then created a new column called "Cell" and set it up as a choice and deleted the "WorkCell" column. I then replaced the datacard in my form and it seems to work but when the form is submitted, I have some code to email the data but PowerApps says that "Cell" is not valid (see attached).  This code also fails.  It seems that PowerApps is one update behind what I am doing with the list even though I've refreshed a bunch of times.

    Two suggestions for you:

    1. Try completely removing and re-adding the SP list as a data source. This forces it to reload all the metadata, although a refresh should have done so.
    2. If you can, stick with a single line of text field in your SP list and work with those values as text instead of choices. Text fields from SP are much easier to work with in Power Apps than choice fields.

Thanks,  Your first suggestion seems to have gotten the PowerApps back in sync with the list.  Problem solved!
