Copy list information to new item in document library

I have a process that need to create a document in a document library and copy column information from an associated item  in a master list of information when the item is created. I can see I can use update file properties to do this but there are about 60 columns to update. Is there a way to do this without matching each column?

@Ianhall1892  If you want to copy from Document Library to list, then i think you will need to match each column. If you are copying document from library to another library, then use copy file action, that does copies the document along to another library with metadata.

Yeah I thought that's what I would have had to do. Basically I have a master list of data in a list and the document need to inherit that items column information  when the document is created library........sigh heres to matching 50 odd column's😂

Sorry old post, but can you tell me how you got this to work. I'm trying to do the same thing, that is update an uploaded file metadata with the metadata of a master list item. I'm using the get items using a filter on a common value and update file property but nothing is changed although the flow runs successfully. I had it work twice and then never again

@SylvainChopard  can you please share screenshot of your flow with the actions expanded to further assist you on the issue?

Thanks for your reply. Below is a screenshot

And then for each column value I update dynamically in the update item action it creates a new loop... not sure if this is needed or not but that seems odd as there's only one match with project code as key.

The master list and doc library share the same managed metadata site columns. If I fill-out the values manually (with drop down) it works. Maybe I'm not picking the right dynamic content for this type of columns?

    Thanks

I finally figured it out 🙂

The problem occurs when one of the columns I want to update in the document properties is blank in the master list !

Having all columns mandatory will solve this. I suppose using expression with a check on whether the value in the master list is null or not for the update should work as well.
