Hi,

We have purchased an Office365 E5 license for an account and till now we have created 200+ Power Automates. It will be great to know all the limitations regarding the above mentioned license, if not specifically about the limitations in

1) How many Power Automates can be configured?

2) Any regarding Run Instance.

3) How many Rest API's can be called?

Here are the some of the request limits and allocations:

Also, you can find the licensing guide at https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/p/?linkid=2085130

You can find licensing FAQs at https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/powerapps-flow-licensing-faq

If you are observing flow throttling, then its time to contact your Microsoft representative to find out more details or raise a support ticket.

    Important Note:

Each action or trigger is an API call in the flow. Optimizing the flow actions by reducing unnecessary actions from flow will improve the performance.

    Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I have a couple of doubts.

    1. Will all the actions inside a Power automate counts as api calls?. For example I have a flow with 200 actions (including compose, initialize /set variable, do until condition, apply to each). If I trigger the flow will the api calls be counted as 200? or only for actions like sent an http trigger, when an http is received is counted as api calls?

    2. What will happen once it crosses the limit? will it start failing or will send email to anyone?

In Power Automate, we do establish connection with various connectors and calling various actions. Every action is an API call.

    Reference: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/api-request-limits-allocations

If a flow has 200 actions whether it is a compose or HTTP, the action is an API call. If your flow has 200 actions and if you are running the flow 10 times, then you are making 2000 API calls.

Once you reach your API call limit, you may experience some of the flows may be not triggering as expected ie., throttling. You can get a notification/alert from Microsoft or you may also see the information in Power Platform analytics dashboard.  Getting more licenses will resolve the issue.

I recommend checking with your Microsoft contact to confirm the above as well. This is my experience in a tenant after contacting Microsoft.

Hi, Thanks for the reply, I have another doubt. There will be several admin roles, it would be helpful if you can let me know which specific admin will receive a notification regarding the limit of API actions.
