Copying from one excel to another

Hi,

I'm new to power automate, and trying to create a simple flow which copies the content of one table to another, both in excel.

I want the Key value to be taken from the 1st table (that I'm copying from), but cannot seem to make this work. Is this possible?

Yes.  It is possible.  A couple of things I noticed that might be causing an issue:

    1. It seems the "Create a Table" step is unnecessary as you already have the destination table correct?
    2. If you are copying the final step should be "Add a Row" since the row wouldn't already exist to update correct?

    Hi Brad,

    Thanks for your reply.

I added the "create table" step since I thought it was needed before the "list rows", which requires a table as an input. When I use the "Add rows" function, it simply adds blank rows, see below:

    Thanks!

Did you add what column information from the originating list goes in what columns for the destination list?  Below is an example and this worked for me.

Thanks again Brad. This is my problem - it does not offer me the rows from the first table. Any idea why?

Is the originating table formatted as a table with column headers?

    Hi @polywantacracke ,

Do you want to copy the contents of table1 in the same excel to table2?

You could format the two tables as a table with column headers, and use the created table as input in the "List Row". I have a test for your reference, you could refer to the screenshot below:
