Hi everyone,
Hope you know the answer to this one: after a windows update, I'm having problems with my Power Automate flows.
Every time there is a browser involved, I get the message “ERROR: Launch New Microsoft Edge”. The browser opens correctly but Power Automate doesn’t seem to recognize it.
I also tried with FireFox/Chrome and I get the same error.
Any help would be appreciated!
Good news for all. Have discovered that there were a collection of libraries from 3 versions of PAD on my pc. They live under the application name of Microsoft Desktop. When I completely removed PAD they disappeared. They contain a bunch of SDKs. Think that PAD depends on them and maybe having multiple sets was a contributory factor. Hopefully can get everything working again in time to present to charity Directors tomorrow. Talk about last minute!
The extension in the MSI installer made it work again!
Thanks you!
I haven´t been able to make it work... let me check the reddit post to see if I can find what I´m doing wrong.
Thanks!
Hi,
I think I have the latest version... I also tried to unistall and install again but it didnt work.
Hi @Ed_Churches ,
Try to remove the Microsoft Power Automate extension from the browser and add the latest Microsoft Power Automate extension again.
Extension in your browser might be the older version so it might not support the latest version of the Power Automate Desktop
Hi @Ed_Churches
Hope this helps you

This solved the issue for me with latest win11, 2.27 and latest extension. Remove windows store version of PAD, install with MSI installer after.
Try installing using MSI Installer

@Ed_Churches.Sadly this has been happening for some time and affects Edge, Firefox and Chrome which suggests it may be a Windows issue. I have a daily test running and will post immediately I see a fix
