I have a table with Option Set Global and when I try to get the the value or display name in my app it not able to select.

ex: thisitem.optiontest

Any idea what is the problem ?

If I am understanding your request correctly,

You can try something similar to this

LookUp(Choices('Department (Job Descriptions)'), Value = RecordsGallery1.Selected.Department).Value

Where in my example Department is the Choice column for the table Job Descriptions and RecordsGallery1 is the name of the gallery selecting the items in the table
