Flow to import / update SP list from Excel, but Powerapps locked (cannot save data)

Hello

I have a flow which imports and updates from an Excel spreadsheet to a SP list.

I've created an app which uses the same Excel spreadsheet as its datasource.

However, when the flow is turned on PowerApps cannot save data  (I get a 'locked source' message). (As soon as the flow is disabled I can write to the spreadsheet again)

I presume the problem is linked to Excel and PowerApps referencing the same datasource.

Is there a solution / workaround for this?

Thanks

    Hi @Englishweb ,

I'm afraid that there is no workaround for the issue since when the excel is used in the flow, it would be locked by the flow and wouldn't updated by any other apps at the same time.

    Best regards,

    Alice

    Hello @v-alzhan-msft

Thanks for your reply. Your answer confirms what I supsected!

I was hoping that the spreadsheet would only be locked when the flow is actually running (eg once a week), but it seems that the spreadsheet is locked permanently.😞
