"An error occurred. Please try again later." message when trying to respond to an Approval email

The flow triggers when a response is added to a list. It then gets the item details, as well as a list of branch managers. It then compares the responders location to the list of branch managers, determining who their manager is. Finally it sends an email approval to their manager. That works fine, no issues there.

The problem is that when the Approval email is received, you can't approve or reject it due to the error message.

I've tried using Start and Wait for Approval (both v1 and v2).

    Hi @rsparks ,

    Thanks for feedback.

Are you using Outlook client or Outlook web?

I have created a simple flow likes below to reproduce this issue. However, the response could always be succeeded.

If you are using Outlook web, please try to clear caches and cookies.

Please take another try with it and post back if the issue still exists.

    Best regards,

    Mabel

    Hi,

For some reason my account had Flow Plan 2 and Flow Plan Free enabled, so I disabled the Flow Plan Free and restarted the computer. Works fine now.

    Hi,

I'm having the same issue where Approval email says "An error occurred. Please try again later". I have tried both 'Start and Wait for Approval' v1 and v2. Strangely it happens only for some of my users and not for my account.

@v-yamao-msft is there anything I'm missing out?

    Thanks for any help...

@MihkelHypo  Check their account subscriptions. Removing my flow subscription/s then re-adding them seemed to fix the issue for me

hi @rsparks - thanks for quick response. Tried also removing Flow licenses from user - no success so far.
    But one interesting additional fact:
when user opens from email "open original email" and goes through link to Flow portal, then from there all approvals work fine.
So my quess is that Approval emails are not working and there's a bug.

I am also receiving this error when sending my approval to multiple people. Only a handful are getting it. how do i check their flow level 1 and 2 subscriptions?

It was something the IT guy had to do, he had admin access and was able to go into my account and turn on/off subscriptions.

I am now receiving the error when trying to approve/reject a flow with comments.  I am using the flow account that is part of our corporate account.  Would I still need to check with IT to reset the flow account as suggested in one of the posts in order to clear this error?

This is an issue in our tenant as well - it works in Outlook Online (OWA) but not the client. There's no consistency in licensing in our case so I'm putting in a support ticket with Microsoft. My initial guess is there's something that needs to be reset in the Outlook client since it works online using "The new Outlook."
