Hi,

I was wondering if anyone is facing this issue.  I have created a powerapp that is pointing to my on premises SQL server through a BIGateway.  Now, it appears that pretty much everyone in our organisation is able to use the PowerApp, except for one particular user who gets the following error?

You don't have permission to create this row. Server Response: Permission Exception. inner exception: Internal error: dataSourceCredentials clientRequestId:XXXXXXXXXXXXX etc

EDIT:  I should add that this user is still able to use the app, but it is only when she is trying to use the patch functionality to push the results back to ONE of the SQL databases on there.  Her results are still being pushed through to the results DB.

I have checked the data sources individually etc and she has the same permissions as everyone else, and it works successfully for everyone else!!!  If anyone could help out or shed some light it would be very much appreciated 🙂

    Hi @Adam_C ,

Have you shared your canvas app to this particular user with proper Role?

Have you shared your On-premises Data Gateway with this particular user?

When you share your canvas app to this particular user with proper Role, please also make sure you have also shared the SQL Server On-premises gateway connection to this user.

Please consider go to the Connections List in your PowerApps web portal, then find your SQL Server connection, then select this connection, then click "Share" button. Within the opening Sharing dialog, type the email address of the particular user to find this user, then assign "Can Use" permission to this user:

In addition, if anyone wants to use On-premises connection within canvas app, he/she must own standalone PowerApps license (PowerApps Plan 1 license at least) for this sign in account.

Note: PowerApps for Office 365 license would not have permission to access On-premises Data connection within PowerApps.

Please make sure this particular user have owned proper PowerApps license for his sign in account.

    Best regards,

    Hi,

Thanks for getting back to me Kris.

I have checked the data connections and they are shared with her (and she has can use permissions against them).

It is only one particular data source that seems to not update with just this particular user, which is what makes it perplexing.  I have a request in to check which plan she is on.  Thanks for the advice 🙂

    Hi @Adam_C ,

Yeah, please take a try with the solution I provided above, then check if the particular user has meet the requirements to access On-Premises Data connector in PowerApps.

If you have solved your problem, please consider go ahead to click "Accept as Solution" to identify this thread has been solved.

    Best regards,
