Copy Folder flow working but step errors with 'NotFound'

Howdy Everyone,
I've been trying to setup a simple flow for copying a default job folder on our sharepoint whenever a planner task is created with certain critiera.

The flow seems to work, as the folders is actually duplicated on sharepoint fine. I can see see the folder is created when running testing, the contents is correct etc.

The problem is that the flow itself is showing as the copy step failing for some reason. I need to resolve the error so that i can use the returned values and the flow continues to more steps.

Any help would be much appreciated

Thanks in advance

@jamesengageiq Your trigger is When a new task is created. You shouldn't need an Apply to Each action since the flow trigger will only return a single item. I would recommend trying to recreate your flow with the Classic Designer. The New Designer seems to unnecessarily add the Apply to Each action in some flows.

In the meantime, to learn more about the Apply to Each action, check out this YT Tutorial3 Mistakes YOU 🫵 are Making with the Apply to Each Action in your Microsoft Power Automate Flow

In this video tutorial I’ll go over how to avoid these common mistakes when using the Apply to Each action in a Power Automate flow:

1️⃣ Looping through a Single Item

    2️⃣ Creating Unnecessary Nested Loops

3️⃣ Looping through an Unfiltered Array

At the end of the video I share a few helpful insights when it comes to using the Apply to Each action in your flow.

    I'll also cover:

How to avoid the Apply to Each action with a single item array

How to use the item() function to access dynamic content in an array

How to prevent unnecessary nested Apply to Each action loops

How to use the Select action

How to convert an array to a string with the Select action

How to use the Filter Query field

How to count the number of items in an array

How to use a condition control

How to use the concurrency control

How to set a top count

How to use Compose actions for troubleshooting

    Hope this helps!

Thanks for your detail response @creativeopinion .

I tried recreating the low using the classic designer and even removed the conditional statement to simplify things for testing. Unfortunately the result is exactly the same with the flow erroring but the folder being successfully duplicated.

    Any other ideas?

@jamesengageiq It's hard to troubleshoot without seeing what you have in the action that is failing. Can you post a screenshot of that action in edit mode? It looks like you've set up the action incorrectly—however I can't offer any recommendations because I don't know what you've placed in that action.

Howdy, its the same configuration as when in the New Designer.

@jamesengageiq Can you create a manually triggered flow and just test out the Copy Folder Action—select the same Current Site Address, Folder to Copy, Destination Site Address and Destination Folder.

One more thing, are you using any dynamic content in your Copy Folder action?

No luck unfortunately, same error regarding the response not being in JSON format.

There are no dynamic values in the new manual flow I just setup.

@jamesengageiq The error is indicating a folder isn't found. When you select the folder in the Folders to Copy and Destination folder dropdown, are you navigating directly to a folder? Are you selecting a folder that already exists?

Howdy, yeah I'm manually navigating through the menu's and selecting the folder using the UI. It's also actually working too, like the folder IS created on Sharepoint whenever the test flow runs, it's just the error being returned in the flow thats the problem.
