The modern date picker looks great, the design could show all months and easy to use.
But when i try to apply a color palette on it, pick any of the default / custom palette I get the same issue:
the size of the options is bigger than usual and the bg is transparent:
And if i choose the default theme (clear it) it works well.

Having the same problem today. It has been working fine for about 2 months and a user reported it today. Seems like MS have done an update, but broken something.
Edit:
I fixed it by removing the styling as described above.
Click on the refresh symbol next to the color palette swatch under Style and theme.
Only problem is it's absolutely tiny now.
