Get Items from SharePoint online does not show List Name

Newbie to the community and have a basic question to ask.

I am trying to build a Manual Triggered flow that has the SharePoint Get Items step.  When I select my SharePoint online site address, I do not see any of the document lists that are in the site to pick from.    Can anyone give information on what I need to get my list to appear?  Is my SharePoint Site the incorrect type Possibly?  My over all goal is to create a flow to list items selected in the SharePoint Document list to email to my boss for review.

Documents are stored in Libraries which are special kinds of Lists.  That's why they don't show in the Lists dropdown.  What you want is Get Files (Properties Only) instead of Get Item.

@Pstork1 -- I'm revisiting this inquiry because I have a similar question -- but in my case I can't see an actual list in the drop down. The List is visible in Site Contents, but not in the Get items / List name dropdown.

The caveat is that this is an older (classic) "Task List" -- not a simple (or more modern) "List". I have a few "Lists" that DO appear in the dropdown, but the "Task Lists" do NOT.

Are you aware of a limitation on the types of lists that appear for the Power Automate "Get items" SharePoint connector?

Power Automate is only designed to work with Modern lists.  Since the Task list is a classic list, that's why it doesn't show up.  It might still work, but you'll have to supply the url for the list manually when configuring the action.  Classic Tasks lists have always been an issue because they have some custom code built in, but you can try loading it as a custom entry.  It might work.

Thanks for the quick reply! Yes, I can manually add in the list name -- and it works, but only for a single flow run! I can manually re-add the name and save, and it will work again, for a single run. I've also tried the GUID value -- works, but for a single run.

Just recording my efforts here for the community -- perhaps I can save some poor soul hours of testing effort!

Did you use the Enter Custom Value entry in the dropdown to enter the listname?  If you do it that way it should work for more than one run.

    I'm afraid so.

Works for one flow run only.

So, I'm dusting-off my SharePoint Designer 2013 chops...

As I mentioned, Task lists have always been an issue.  And I don't think SharePoint Designer is going to help for very long since its deprecated and disabled in a lot of places already.

same problem for me ... my modern SP list does not show up in PA flow... another poor implementation by Microsoft
