Hello,

I created a Component Library and inside it, 2 components.

I created an app and then added the Component Library. Then, I added the two components to the app from the Library.

Things worked great. I could update the components in the library, and then open the Canvas App in the studio and download the component updates.

However, today I noticed that the components from my library now are now showing up as local components in the app.

If I try to remove the “local” components (because I want them from the library), I get errors because somehow the app has switched from being dependent on my Library to being dependent on these mysterious “local” components that were somehow added to my app.

So, it doesn’t appear that I can actually reap the benefit of the Component Library...

Is this a bug?

I was able to replicate the issue.

Create new PowerApp in the Power App Studio
Add Component Library to PowerApp
Add Component from the Library to PowerApp
Go to the Home tab in the PowerApp Studio, and then select a different Theme
Save and exit the PowerApp Studio
Open the PowerApp again in PowerApp Studio

When you reopen the PowerApp Studio, you will notice that the Component from the Library is now listed as a "Custom" (or 'local') Component. I suppose that changing the Theme automatically does this because it thinks you are editing the Component.

This seems like a bug. While on one hand, having the components automatically update with the Theme of the app is very nice and convenient, but it also means that the Component is no longer tied to the Library and therefore what is the point of the Library?
