I have created a flow that triggers 'When new mail arrives' in Office365 Outlook, which notifies Teams when mail arrives and forwards the mail to a specific user.
However, this trigger does not seem to work when the computer is switched off. I know that this trigger works when the computer is switched on.
Does this trigger only work if the computer is running? When I checked the operation at the end of last year, it worked even when the computer was closed.
I found the cause of the flow not working.
I had set the trigger for this flow to work as "when an email arrives in a specific folder, from a specific destination". However, the email was not moved to the folder. This was because the rule only worked in the desktop version of Outlook. So when the computer started up, or more precisely when the desktop version of Outlook started up, the trigger fired correctly and the flow worked correctly.
Thank you very much for all the help you gave me.
Hi @lily_clar ,
Could you please share a snip of the connection used by the trigger? Does it use gateway, which also means it's a on-prem Outlook server?
Best regards,
Thank you for your message.
I agree with that. However, the flow does not fire when the computer is closed. When the computer starts up, the flow fire. What could be the cause?
Hi @lily_clar ,
Triggers of automated cloud flows should be fired normally even when not a single computer is running.
