Power Automate Desktop - Supported Versions

Hi,

Where can I find information on what versions of Power Automate Desktop are supported?  I understand that releases can be as frequently as monthly.  I want to identify what versions are out-of-date and need updating.

Regards,

Mick

    Hi,

Useful, but its not quite showing what is needed.  This is showing Power Automate versions.  Not Power Automate Desktop.  And when you click on Power Automate Desktop link it brings you to an entirely different page e.g. Power Automate - Blog (microsoft.com)  I'm trying to establish if I installed an earlier version of Power Automate Desktop, does it stay supported for a certain period of time before its out of support and you need to install latest version.  Thanks

@mickhanneyIRL  I guess there is no such matrix yet revealing that information. However, this what you can do with updates which I believe you must be already aware.

Best approach would be to drop a note to support with your query.

    Update Power Automate for desktop

Power Automate will frequently check for updates and display a notification dialog. In order not to disrupt your work, the update dialog offers you the option to delay the update and proceed with it at a later time. If you don't wish to receive any update notifications, you may uncheck the Show update notifications option in the general settings. To manually update, you may select the Check for updates button in the general settings.

    Hi,

Asking again this question to see if anyone knows.

Power Automate Desktop has frequently releases, which can be monthly.  I thought I read before that only the 6 most recent releases are deemed supported?  But, I cannot find a link to confirm this.

The reason I ask is the ability to download software is controlled in my Organisation.  So, users who may have requested Power Automate Desktop downloads before e.g. last year, may have versions that are behind in support terms.

    Cheers

    M

There is a little more to the story rather than just supported versions, let's say for example someone is on version 5.1, they will not be able to edit flows saved in version 5.2 etc. So our recommendation is always to get updated to the latest version possible. There are silent install/update option you can add to your deployment scripts. Here are some other links that may help:

Useful to know thanks.  Not ideal for all organisations however.  Many organisations will prevent the ability for downloads of software by end-users from a security standpoint.

I am also in the same boat. So is my understanding correct that only past 6 versions of Power Automate Desktop are officially supported by Microsoft ?

Here is the scenario: I am on Power Automate Desktop version 2.18 and the latest available version is 2.25 - so I am clearly behind by more than 6 versions. Now, if I raise a support ticket with Microsoft Power Platform Support if my desktop flow has some issues, will my support request be accepted by Microsoft or would they say this version is no longer supported and we cannot assist you.

    Thank you!
