What made my flow trigger 100x ?

Hey everyone,

I hope you are doing well. I have been working on a flow that is currently functioning, but I am still in the process of trial and error to ensure it is error-free. Initially, I set up filters so that the trigger activates when emails come from the Ministry. However, for testing purposes, I removed this requirement. At the moment, the flow is triggered solely by the subject line filter: "Apprenticeship - Offer of Classroom Training (Sponsor Copy)".

I have two questions. First, the email that triggered the flow was a reply from a company. The subject line was "FW: Apprenticeship - Offer of Classroom Training (Sponsor Copy)," and it unexpectedly triggered my flow.

My question is, when entering subject line filters, is it "contain" or "equal to"? I will most likely need to add more filter such as "FROM" to avoid this from happening, since the email that they come from are "noreply" email addresses, so I won't necessarily face this issue.

My second question is, I think this triggered a 100x because my flow is "For each", that is the only other reason I can think of, But I don't know. Is there anything I can provide to help you determine why it ran so many times.

Edit: I realize I have it set to "apply to each". Should it be replaced with "do until"?

    Hi @soy

The Subject tries to match the keywords provided by you, so it is a "Contains" not an "Equals"

I see you have two email actions in your flow? Who are you emailing to? Is it going to the same mailbox? That could trigger your flow again.

    Hi Sudeep,

    Thanks for your time.

In reference to the first question, unfortunate that it can't be equals to, but thats fine.

My second problem is "apply to each" is causing the No condition to send an email for every record on the excel sheet. That is what I am trying to fix.

Any ideas? Additionally, conditions for some reason can't be left blank, so it is messing up with my logic. I did initalize a variable to "true", and added a "set variable" if the numbers do not match to trigger the value to false, but it is not working.

    Hi @soy

Looking at the flow logic, it seems you are trying to send an email for each record in your excel.

Is that not what you want? What is that you are trying to achieve?
