When you use the Launch Outlook action, a variable for the Outlook instance will be created. You can then use that in further Outlook actions.
You need to use Launch Outlook for any further Outlook actions to work. Even if your Outlook app is already running, the action must still be used - it will not launch a new instance of Outlook, but will simply attach to the existing one.
