When using approvals (via Power Automate (Start and wait for an approval) and Microsoft Teams (Approvals)), are approvers able to modify their Approve/Reject selection after their initial selection?

Ex., if an approver selects "Approve" but realizes this selection is a mistake, are they able to modify/cancel their initial selection?

Not that I am aware, you would need to send a new one.

Just to clarify, it means the submitter would have to re-submit and the approver would have to approve/reject the new submission?

The easiest option is a resubmission to start the flow over.

The alternative option would be to have some other trigger or something that restarts the flow or another flow.

Like if a column was edited in the SharePoint list or something like that. But that means you are probably going to need a different flow. And I don't know what would prompt the item to get edited, as in what action does this approver who changed their mind take to restart this other flow? And if the previous flow is still running, what stops those approvals?

I think anything can be done with power automate, but it would probably start getting very complex just to deal with some kind of exception to prevent the initial requester making a new submission.
