Hello All, I'm a newbie to the Powerapps/ Dataverse world.Scenario:The business owner wants me to lock down access to our main Dataverse table based on a user Access table. This user access table has three fields: User Email, Entity ID, And ID and is populated dynamically from our Payroll System. Is this possible within Dataverse?
Yes. This can be easily achieved with Security roles. You can create a security role either from the PowerApps Admin Center or go to Solutions and scroll down to "Default Solutions" and then add new security role.Once in the security role, go to the custom entities tab and scroll to your User Access table, set your desired permissions.Assign this security role to whichever individual or group that needs access to the tableMore details on security roles can be found in the official documentationhttps://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-platform/admin/security-roles-privileges
Hello, @Jsmith2, for your use case, the best approach that you can take is using ADD security groups. and the Dynamic membership rules for groups in Azure Active Directory. Then assign security role to that AAD security group to access the the underline data. You will also share the app with that security group.
