Dynamic content in the HTML Table action

Hello,

I want to use the custom columns option in the Create HTML Table action to create the table with only a few of the fields from the chosen output.

Is this possible?

Because expressions are not useable, what i have been using for other actions does not work.

item()?['Column_name’]

Thanks

    Hi @Cameron_A,

Could you please share a screenshot of your flow’s configuration?
The expressions are not useable in custom columns option of “Create HTML Table” action, but you could use dynamic content to create custom columns. I have made a test on my side, please take a try with the following workaround:

    1. Choose a proper trigger, here I use “When an item is created” trigger of SharePoint connector.
    2. Add “Get Items” action
    3. Add “Create HTML table” action, From set to output of “Get items” action, Include headers set to Yes, Columns set to custom. Within Header and Value map, click Header box and type custom column name, then click Value box, type the dynamic content of previous action.

The flow works successfully as below:3.JPG

Besides, the item() function only takes effect inside a repeating action, this function returns the item that is in the array for this iteration of the action.

    Best regards,

    Kris

    Hello,

Sorry, i did not mention that i as using the Filter and Select actions.

The Table action currently uses the Select Action output to create the table with automatic columns. Ideally the dynamic content would remove the need for the select action.

    Thanks
