I have an idea to get a Flow going for vacations in our TEAM.
Yet, i'm not a Power Automate expert sadly and not sure how to begin. I hope someone can helpe me guide with my idea.
I want to work with a Sharepoint list where everyone can insert their period of vacation they want.
For example as below with these columns;
- Wie = who is requesting
- Startdatum = start date of the vacation
- Einddatum = end date of the vacation
- Goedgekeurd = Whenever it gets approval, the checkbox should be applied
Below how my flow works inside my head;
1. Team member fills in the list with his name & dates for the vacations.
2. Whenever a new line is created I would get an email to simply "Approve" or "Deny" their request
3. When I "Approve" -> They will get notified and the line in the sharepoint list remains (most ideal hidden - i'll explain why on number 4)
3.1 When I "Deny" -> They will also get notified about it and the line in the sharepoint list gets deleted (I want to keep it clean)
4. Inside Sharepoint it would be fantastic to have a calender view showing all the upcoming dates by month
5. When an item is approved I want to send out Microsoft Teams notification for upcoming vacations -> "upcoming holiday in 2 weeks for person X". Additional reminder for 7 days notice and a last reminder on the day itself.
EXTRA: In my sharepoint list... I don't want them to be able to pick the starting date 30 days ahead.
(my policy would be the need to be on time to request vacations)
