Differentiation method using which we can find out if the PCF DataSet control is configured for SubGrid or Home Grid?

Hi Team,

We are facing an issue while configuring the PCF control on entity sub grid. We have a custom entity and there is one Account Entity Subgrid on that custom entity form. So we have added PCF DataSet control on that subgrid.

After configuration, when we open the custom entity record and open the Account entity subgrid, it will retrieve the all Account entity records, instead of retrieving only those account entity records which are associated with only that custom entity record. For retrieving the entity records, we are using view details. On the basis of viewid we retrive the view records.

So is there any differentiation method using which we can find out if the PCF DataSet control is configured for SubGrid or Home Grid?

Waiting for your reply.

Thank you.

    hi Sheldon,

I feel if you are using OOB subgrid control, you will get the same behavior. Please let me know if I misunderstand the question.

Here is the doc of the subgrid configuration

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/customer-engagement/customize/sub-grid-properties-legacy

For Records option, if one choose 'Only Related Record', it will show only related one. If one choose 'All Record Types', it will show all of that viewid.
