I have a scheduled Power Automate flow set to run every morning at 6:00 AM. It’s supposed to detect normal tasks in my app and send a report via email.
Recently, I noticed an abnormal task that wasn’t reported by the flow. When I checked, I found that one of my connectors (the "Select" connector) wasn’t working properly, but the flow still showed as "successful."
I tried making edits, but nothing worked. However, when I saved the flow as a new flow without making any changes, it started working perfectly again.
Any idea what caused this?
Hi PichayaCh,
Thank you for choosing Microsoft Community.
Looks like a glitch with your Power Automate flow! This issue might be due to a few potential reasons:
1. Connection Issues: Sometimes, connectors can lose their connection or authentication tokens can expire https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/troubleshoot It sounds like you encountered a bit of a mystery with your Power Automate flow! This issue might be due to a few potential reasons:
1. Connection Issues: Sometimes, connectors can lose their connection or authentication tokens can expire You can check and update the connections in Power Automate by going to Data > Connections and selecting Fix connections if needed.
2. Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Policies: Your organization might have DLP policies that restrict certain connectors from being used together [B](https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-automate/triggers-troubleshoot? If your flow violates a DLP policy, it might be suspended. Editing and saving the flow can sometimes trigger an error report if there's a policy violation
3. Flow Configuration: There might have been a subtle configuration issue that wasn't immediately obvious (https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/troubleshoot/power-platform/power-automate/connections/troubleshooting-flow-custom-connectors? Creating a new flow without changes might have reset something in the background.
4. Software Glitch: Occasionally, software glitches can cause unexpected behavior. Restarting the flow or re-saving it can sometimes resolve these issues.
To prevent this from happening again, you might want to:
- Regularly check and update your connections.
- Review any DLP policies that might affect your flow.
- Keep an eye on any updates or changes in Power Automate that might impact your flow's performance.
Does this help clarify things a bit?
