Initiating Flows and Forgetting them

ReportReport
Posted on by 1,302
Hi

I have a requirement to kick off a number of reports every month.

I do this by kicking off a set of flows using run child flow.

I want to be able to kick these report off and forget them.

I cannot use "Initiate flow using HTTP Request" becuase of the company's Data Loss Prevention Policy blocking the use of HTTP requests in Flows.

Is this possible using "Run Child Flow" ?

Regards

Nigel

Don't understand what you mean by "kick these report off and forget them".

if you have flows that run reports, and want to have another flow that "kicks" them off at certain schedule, then these "child flow" needs to use the manual trigger. and all the flows involved needs to be in a Solution. You cannot "run child flow" that is not in a Solution

    Hi @NSL Coder

Everything is in a solution - scheduled flow and child flows.  I just want to kick off the child flows and not wait until that child flow finishes before starting the next child flow.

    You can either:
    1. in the child flow, response action comes first and then the flow continues to run the rest of what it is supposed to do
    2. use parallel action to run all flow in parallel
