Send email to specific people based on file in specific sub-folder in master folder

I have a folder in my Document Library in my SharePoint site and inside that folder are two sub-folders, one sub-folder is called Staff Review and the other sub-folder is called Manager Review. I am trying to create a flow where when a file is added to the Staff Review folder, an automated email should go to the staff and when a file is added to the Manager Review folder an automated email should go to the manager. I have created a flow but my flow for some reason is not working, if someone could help me with correcting the error, that would be much appreciated.

In your Get file content action, I believe that you need to select Identifier from Dynamic properties and not ID.

Also, can you tell me what property you are selecting in your condition (starts with Folder...)?

thanks, I changed it to Identifier from ID.

For my condition, are you asking about the section I highlighted in yellow in this screenshot below? If so, I selected Folder Path.

A simple solution here is to just create two separate flows. One for the Staff and one for the Manager.

You can use When a file is created (properties only) and specify the folder you are looking at.

The flow below is looking for files created in the Staff Review folder, so you can then just send the email to the staff.

    And similar for the Managers.

Thank you, yes I am aware that I can just have 2 different flows, but I want to know if there is a way to only have one flow that I can use to send email to different group of people based on files in the sub-folder. I have many more sub-folders other than Staff and Manager Review sub-folders and I don't want to create multiple flows for each of them. If there is a way to make my current flow efficient that would be great.

Yes, you could use a single Flow.  How you implement depends on a variety of factors.

One way to approach this would be to use a second list that contains the folder path in one column and the email addresses in a second column.  Just lookup the folder path in the second list (filter query with OData filter)  and retrieve the email addresses.

Let me know if you need more help on this.

thank you, I am not sure if I am understanding this approach, where would I apply the step you have mentioned?

For my current flow, here is the error message I am getting:

If you want to hard code the email addresses, something like this sould work:

thank you, it says that my flow ran successfully but I did not receive an email notification that a new file has been added to one of the sub-folders.

I tested it out with my own email address first just in case but did not receive any notification, is there a step I am missing?
