Hi,

A noob in flows here, so I am probably asking some dumb questions here.

Can I have a MS Lists that has an approval and when the appoval is ok then a flow moves the entry over to another list automatically?

Where to start?

Thanks,

A

    Hi @Peavey,

My starting point would be to have a look at the SharePoint connector and it's actions:

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/dev/business-apps/power-automate/sharepoint-connector-actions-triggers

There is not a specific move list item action available in the default SharePoint Online connector (which you can use to interact with MS lists hosted in a M365 tenant):

    https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/connectors/sharepointonline/#actions

However, you could use a create item/delete item action combination. You just need to make sure that all fields are mapped correctly from source to target.

Best way to achieve this is to do the following:

Trigger: When a new Item is created (In List #1).

Action: Start and wait for approval.

Action: Condition: (Arguments: Start and Wait for approval's "Approvers Approval Response" output" is equal to Approved.)

    If Yes:

Create Item: (List #2) Pass identical values from the Trigger to the second List.

If No: Send email / Teams Message advising the creator of the item about the denial with comments.
