Individual PowerAutomate-Workflow in SharePoint Lists online

Hello all!

I have the following problem with Power Automate in relation with Sharepoint Lists online:

I have created an instant cloud flow on Power Automate and selected "For a selected item" as trigger/starting point. I then entered here both the website address and the corresponding list name of the desired Sharepoint List.

After I had successfully saved the flow, I tried to start the workflow by clicking on "automate" in my Sharepoint List. Unfortunately, no possible flow is displayed under "Automate".

So how can I add my own Power Automate flow to my Sharepoint List - regardless of whether it is an immediate flow or a scheduled flow - so that I can use the created flow for the entire list via "Automate"?

Many thanks in advance!

    Have you verified your flow is turned on?

    Yes, the flow is turned on. I even created several flows to be sure. Unfortunately, none of these flows appear under "Automate".

    Is your flow build in default environment of the tenant ? This is the most common problem that makes flow like that invisible in sharepoint list.

    Also please check the flow appearance after you actually select an item in the list, right click on it -> automate and you will see the flow there.

    Thank you very much @gabibalaban ! This already helped a lot.

    Is this also possible with a planned flow where the relevant SharePoint list is defined in the flow by "Get list name by HTTP request"?

    Or can a flow whose trigger is "for a selected element" be repeated in a planned way (e.g. daily)?

    The idea behind this is that I want to inform a third person by e-mail x days before due date (the date is defined in a column of the list). The workflow should be permanently available in my SharePoint list so that others without knowledge of PowerAutomate can individually activate the workflow for each newly created row/element.

    @Filou ,

    The flow architecture for this kind of task should have:

    1. A recurrent trigger in days;

    2. A SharePoint - Get Items action with filter query set to get the necessary items.

    3. A create a HTML table action to prepare data for email.

    4. A send an email V2 action to actually send the email to the interested person.

    Hope it helps !

    My flow looks like this: please see the documents attached (I have included the corresponding list in my version, on the screenshots I have removed the list, etc. for data protection reasons.)

    I have built the flow very similarly to yours, but nevertheless, this is not shown to me in SharePoint lists, neither via the "automate" button nor directly via right-click.

    Basically, the workflow is working. Even then, when I add the preset standard reminder workflow for a new item/row and then manually change this reminder workflow to the one attached. However, as mentioned, the workflow must be permanently added to the Sharepoint list without the need to make any changes.

    For the workflow with "For a selected item" as trigger, the problem was previously solved by your input. What could be the error here?

    Thanks again for your help!
