Issues with Connections from SharePoint or CRM

Hi guys,

First time posting so hope I'm doing this right.

I'm trying (on a trial basis) to integrate a Sharepoint list with Dynamics CRM.

I've hit a problem as follows:

In the Sharepoint list, it has a few different columns- including a number value and a choice type.

My issue is when I try to pick these up on the CRM side, there are certain mandatory option set fields and in the Outputs from previous steps that appears when you focus on one of these, the only attributes that are available is the hidden id of the Sharepoint. Because two numbers obviously don't map together the integration fails on trying to insert. If I select a text field in CRM, I can see all of the fields available from my Sharepoint list, but this doesn't happen for a numerical field.

So.. my question is: is there an additional step that I missed in order to have the other numerical fields in the Sharepoint list available when building the CRM side of the integration.

    Thanks Telu,

I'm trying to wire up the option set field (which is a number field) in the Sharepoint list to the county field in CRM which is a numerical option set value in CRM but the only field from the Sharepoint list that is visible in the county field in CRM is the ID from the Sharepoint list.

Assuming that in your test example, that 1234 is a number field in your Sharepoint list, I can see you're having the same issue in that under the language field in CRM you can't access this field from the Sharepoint list, only the ID field

    Thanks

    Hi John,

I'm creating a similiar flow using "When a new item is created" ->"Create a new record".

besides ID, what else output you want to connect with CRM? as there are limit outputs and most of them are string type

    Thanks,

    Thanks Telu,

Appreciate you taking the time to reply.

Just to clarify what you've outlined below is not actually the problem that I'm having.

Just to reiterate there are some other numerical fields in the Sharepoint list, but only one of these (the ID field) is present when I try and wire these up to the number fields in CRM and my problem is that I can't connect either the my CRM option set (which is stored as a number) field to any other field in the Sharepoint list under than the ID.

    THanks

    John

    Hi John,

Currently the tokens(outputs) can be used from the previous step are filtered by the field type to be fill in. so in some fields, it would show all the string outputs, while other show numerical outputs. And the tokens(outputs) are fixed currently, so I think that's why your custom fields in the CRM don't appear on the list. I think it's by design. you can put this idea in our idea forum, https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Flow-Ideas/idb-p/FlowIdeas

    Thanks,

    telu
