So my inputs as you can see below do not match the time I entered in the output SharePoint Calendar.
I tried the convert time zone step to no avail.
I'd like this SharePoint Calendar to display time in the US Standard Central time.

Actually Time Zone configure of sharepoint user will determine SP list time.
So may you please check SP list time zone configuration as https://sharepointmaven.com/sharepoint-time-zone/ ?

@mequan my SharePoint settings are at the correct time zone (see screen capture).
There seems to be a 5hr difference. Any other thoughts?
