HI,

When creating an event in my Calendar using a flow with the node, create event (v4), when i add in custom Categories

the event gets created and the categories show here alright: (calendar shown here is in 'https://outlook.office.com/calendar/' )

but when i go to the filter they are not showing

Do i have to manually add the 'Categories' to the account first for them to show or can they be create dynamically?
Any Help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards
Will

    You can create it beforehand, this way you can use one of the preset colours:

    A Send an HTTP request action can be used for this.

    Below is an example
    In this case the DarkPurple colour (Preset23) is used. In your setup you might want to include a check first if the category already exists. You can use a lists categories method for that as well, https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/graph/api/outlookuser-list-mastercategories?view=graph-rest-1.0&tabs=http

    URI
    https://graph.microsoft.com/v1.0/me/outlook/masterCategories

    Body
    {
       "displayName": "@{variables('TestCategory0')}",
       "color": "Preset23"
    }

    Perfect thanks Expiscornovus

    the list properties will come in handy there as well to make sure it doesn't overwrite a previously set one!

    Side note, to make sure you dont overwrite i added the defaults to a list and updated as one was changed with a flag -inuse.
