Converting from classic to modern controls

Hi all,

I have a question.

Currently working on converting from the classic modern controls to the new modern control in PowerApps.

I was able to convert most of it without any problems but now I am running into a focus/zoom problem when trying to fill out a form via mobile phone. (When selecting, the app zooms/focused on the input field).

When I finish filling out a field I want to continue but then the app is zoomed in slightly and I have to manually zoom out.

With the classics form I do not have this.

This is a fully responsive app.

iOS is the mobile platform

Anyone have an idea?

Hi MB-16101944-0,

A number of developers have raised issues regarding the modern control and there's a general consensus among the contributors that modern control are not yet ready for production solutions and you will find contributors like WarrenBelz sharing that they have not started using them in any production apps.

I'd suggest using classic controls for the app. If you have already updated the original app and don't wish to change everything back to classic, use classic controls for the features that are showing unwanted behaviour.

hey

i, many others and even mircrosoft themself wont suggest unsing modern controls in productive app, as they are still in preview and not really released, they can cause issues in many places and are not bringing more value but for sure more buggs

there are not really solutions to buggy modern controls so please stick to the classic ones.

The strange thing is that I do see it working fine within another canvas app.
What behavior are you guys seeing?
Any idea if we can figure this out another way? Or whether I should wait for the preview to stop.

I would suggest Not using modern controls as of now as already Said. The fact that they are working elswhere or that they are working right now does Not mean that they are working tomorrow.

Do yourself a favor and Stick to Classic controls as of now
