Hello there,

I have a simple power pages website that allows external users to register, fill user profile and submit an application. Applicant's user profile details is stored under contact table. I have a admin webrole which is assigned to a specific user. This user can view all applications and approve/reject applications. As an admin user to website I would like to view contact's user profile information (saved in contact table) who submitted the application. How do i view this information?

Hi @ashishkapur , try the following:

1. Create a lookup column pointing to contact table.
2. Go to your basic form, add Basic Form Metadata record with specifying your new field and setting it loggedin user contactid

Hi @ashishkapur,

you usually use the created by in case that is always set to SYSTEM, create a lookup filed inside your applications table. Use Javascript to automatically fill in the field in your webpage (Tutorial)
Hide the field with javascript. After that you can use the LookUp Column to access all info from the user who submitted the account.

Hey Anwar,

I have tried this solution. The issue is that when I sign in to portal using different account that has global access permission to contact entity, the user can only see their contact info, not the info of contact that submitted the application.

Could you please make sure that you have setup the table permission to global access and specify the administrator role?

Hi @ashishkapur , as @EmadBeshai well mentioned, please check the table permission. If it is set to global, then please check the web role, that might be the issue.

Hey @ashishkapur

If you are confident you have set up the lookup column pointing to the contact table. Then the simple solution is

as per @EmadBeshai screenshot, set up the table permissions and make sure you add the "Authenticated" user's web role too.

Hey @ragavanrajan , @EmadBeshai , @anwarluck , @Lucas001

I have added my custom role, Authenticated Users and Administrators role to table permission for contact with global access. It still does not seem to work. When I view a contact form by passing id associated with contact it only shows logged in user's info.

I have a contact form with fields like first name, last email, email etc from contact table. I pass ID of contact in query string to view contact details. But when I do that, I always see information related my contact details instead of user whose ID is passed as query string param.
