Flow: between Yammer and SharePoint

Hello,

I created a flow between Yammer and SharePoint: when a file is created or modified into a SharePoint Library, a message is posted in a Yammer group. The flow works fine: a message is posted in Yammer. However, it is always posted in Yammer with my name, even if another member, who belongs to both the SharePoint website and the Yammer group as owner, creates the file. How can i change that? I share with them the flow, so they can modify it as well... but nothing changed.

Do you know if I am missing a step?!

Thank you for your help!

    Thank you @v-yamao-msft and @abm !

I will submit an idea as you suggest. Because I think this feature would be great ! 😉

    Hi @Caroline_G,

I assume that you have shared your flow with members as Owner. As @abm mentioned, though the flow is shared, the shared users are still using your connections but not theirs. And currently, only flows that are manually triggered with the trigger Button and For a selected item can use the feature “Manage run-only users”. By using these two triggers, you can ask users to use their own connections.

If you want to change connections to shared user for other triggers, I would suggest you submit a request on Flow Ideas Forum for this issue so that it can be considered as a future release:

    Best regards,

    Mabel Mao

Thank you for your reply abm!

I read the doc and tried to do the same, but i don't use a button, neither a mobile phone.

I created a flow on a PC, and we want to run it on PC as well. I installed the app on my mobile to see if i have more option, but for the flows, we don't... 😞

It's weird that you can manage connection on "button" but not on "flow"...

    Well, i keep trying! 😉

    Hi Caroline,

Most likely users are using your connections. When you share a button, you can allow persons with whom you've shared the button to use all connections that your button uses. You can also require them to use their own connections. If you allow others to use your connections, they can't access the credentials in your connection, or reuse them in any other flow.

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/flow/share-buttons

    See section

Require users to use their own connections

Let me know how it goes.

    Thanks
