Extract Text with OCR - Subregion coordinates for Jpeg file

Hi, I'm trying to use Extract Text with OCR action for some Jpeg file.

By using MS Paint, I've identified X1, X2, Y1, Y2 for the area I wish to obtain text within the document before running the flow.

But the flow result returns the text from the unintended, different area.
I want to understand by what basis these coodinates are pointing to when I choose image file. Thanks for your advice.

My parameters for the action are:

OCR Engine type: Windows OCR Engine
OCR source: Image on disk

Image file path: Path of my Jpeg document image.

Search mode: Specific subregion
X1, X2, Y1, Y2: Value taken by MS Paint

Language: English
Image withd multiplier, height multiplier: 1

I have the same question (0)

If you are using an image on disk, you won't really be able to set a specific sub-region. This only works properly when you're getting the text from the screen, and not a file, as the file is not really being opened when you extract the text directly from it.

If you want to use a specific region, you will need to open the file first (using Run application and providing the file path to it), and then Extract text with OCR from the screen and not a file.

Hi, understood. Thank you. I changed my flow to put powershell script to cut the target area from the file first, then let ocr to read it. This also worked.
