Issue in environment variable configuration

Hello,

I have created two environment variables: one to get the Site and another to get the List. When I export and import the solution from one dev environment to the production environment, the environment variable for the production site and its lists is not updating to the correct URL. Instead, it continues to fetch the old site and list names and URLs.

In the dev and prod environments, the sites and lists are different, but their column names and data types are identical. If I manually update the data source by deleting the old connection, adding the new data source, and then selecting the environment variables for the site and list, everything updates properly. However, this update is not happening automatically.

I have enabled the following setting:
Settings → General → "Automatically create environment variables when adding data sources."

Could you please help me fix the issue with the data sources so that the environment variables update automatically? Am I missing something in the process?

Thank you in advance.

    Hi,

Did you have unmanaged layers in your second environment when you moved the solutions over.

I have also seen this before, when you first moved your solutions over did you copy the values from the first environment to the second? It only worked for me when I had deleted the value from the first environment prior to moving the solution over.

When you import the solution it should request the new environment variable values. Is this happening?
