Displaying Inputs and Outputs

Oops.  I'm a newbie to Power Automate and it is clear that this will make life MUCH easier.  I'm trying to automate sending an email to a Sharepoint group and found clear instructions online to do it.  My only problem is getting the schema.  There are tricks to letting Power Automate get it for you but it requires you to run Test and then inspect the Outputs.  When I run Test, the screen clears and says it completed successfully.  How do I get the flow to stay and display the Outputs?

    Thanks.

The outputs will be in the previous runs.  If you don't see them after running a test then you are probably still in the edit screen.  If you click the arrow in the upper left corner next to the flow name it will take you back to the flow details page.

From the flow details page you can click on a previous run.  That will take you to the screen that shows the input and output of each action.

I don't see any of the tests under All Runs.  It says there are no runs.  Am I in the right place?

If you aren't seeing any runs then your flow hasn't run yet.  What trigger are you using? That may be why the test isn't running.  If its an automated trigger and you run test you still have to complete the action that triggers the flow.

    That worked.  Thanks.

Now - we get to move on to the next problem - do I have a syntax error on obtaining the users in the group?

    For HTTP request to Sharepoint:

    _api/web/sitegroups/getbyname('xxx xxx xxxx')/users

where xxx xxx xxxx is Group Name.  I get error that says BAD GATEWAY

What kind of group is it?

    • Security Group
    • SharePoint Group
    • Office 365 Group
    • etc.

That REST call is only good for SharePoint Groups.

If its a SharePoint group and that is the right name it should work.  That is the correct syntax.

I changed templates and groups.  I have it working now.

Flow = Send a customized email when a new file is added

Thank you so much for your assistance.
