Get current date in a specific format

I need to trigger a url that appends the current date to the end of the url in the format mm-dd-yy.  I can use CurrentDateTime and retrieve current date only but I can't find how to convert the format to what I need.  I thought this would be easy but I can't seem to find or figure it out.  Any help is appreciated.

    Hey @ddhwls1

    You need to use the Expression

    formatDateTime(utcNow(), 'MM-dd-yy')

    I guess that answered the formatting question but when the command shows up in the url vs passing the actual date.

    I set a variable OD= to 'formatDateTime(utcNow() 'MM-DD-YY'

    when I try and pass the variable to https//www.somewebsite.com/%OD% it shows as https://www.somewebsite.com/formatDateTime(utcNow()%20'MM-DD-YY')

    obviously, I am new to this.

    I truly appreciate your willingness to help but I don't see option to add a Compose.  Perhaps this is a premium option?

    Hey @ddhwls1 Compose is not Premium.

    I'm not seeing the option for a data operation.  Evidently we aren't using the same app or I'm just confused.  Attached is what I see.

    I was using power automate desktop.  It's located in cloud flow.  Thanks for the help.
