Teams adaptive Card not waiting for a response

Hi guys,

Trying to use the "Post adaptive card and wait for a response" action on PowerAutomate.

Been following our dear Reza ( Introduction to Adaptive Cards for Teams using Power Automate - Reza Dorrani - YouTube) on this one.

But something seams different, my action doesnt wait for a response, it runs the action and posts the card but doesnt wait.

And the looks of it is different too, compared to Reza, and I am sure this is the rigth action.

Any help please.

The action in Reza's solution says it is in preview. I don't know if he has early access, or the action is no longer available that he used. With his, it looks like you will be able to generate the adaptive card code within the action.

You can use this online tool to generate the code for your adaptive card: Actionable Messages Designer (amdesigner.azurewebsites.net). Once formatted, grab the JSON code and put it into a Compose action. You can the put the output of the Compose action in the message field.

This method has worked for me.

    Problem solved!

Dont know for sure what solved it thought...

I believe I was executing an automatic run when I added the card, thats probably why it wasnt waiting for a response.

My guess is that your adaptive card is not configured with anything to respond to. As I mentioned, I have used this action in several flows and it has always worked. Attached is code for one adaptive card I have if you want to try it. The only thing it does is wait for a date to be entered.
