Updating an event

I created a flow that is triggered when a new event is created (v3). The flow is using a Bookings calendar. The purpose of the flow is to add a resource to the event. For example, a citizen creates a booking for an inspection, the item is written to the Booking calendar item, which kicks off the flow and the flow updates the event (Update event (V4)) with by adding the resource. Has anyone ever done this? It appears to work, however the Bookings messaging sends me an email that the even has been cancelled. I am thinking the update event step is changing the integrity of the calendar event enough that it thinks it is cancelled. I then bypassed the workflow all together and forwarded the bookings email to a resource and the event also was cancelled. Has anyone else experience this or has a workaround. We are GCC so do not have any Bookings triggers in our tenant.
