Have anyone tried creating custom connectors for insightly?

If so can any one help me with. that.

I know already Flow provides a default connection with insightly , But i need to create custom connectors using insightly API , Can any one help me with that?

Hi @vinoz1990

I did setup a trail version to try the API.

I can successfully get the records using API via Postman

Above I have used as per documentation where I used Basic Auth, username set as API key and password as blank.

Next I did tried the same using Flow custom connector. When I select Basic Auth option, user name and passwords are mandatory. So that means I can't create a connection without a password. Flow doesn't allow a basic auth connection without password.

I also tried the Authentication Type API Key option but not authorising it correctly. Here I have also tried the encodedbase64 API key. All rejected with 404.

I would say raise this with Insightly support and find out more about this.

It's a custom third party API access so you may need to raise this with Insightly support team.

I know this is an old thread but I was able to successfully create a connector. I started with Postman, exported a JSON, imported this into Power Automate and created the connector.

For Insightly Authentication you use Basic authentication and put the Key in the username field. I also put the key in the password field and it worked.
